In this particular example, which I consider to be a high-level
restoration, there were several things that needed to be done to properly
restore the image:

Remove various marks and stains. |

Adjust the coloring to remove the yellow cast. |
|
Improve the overall image contrast. |
|
Digitally hand color the image for a more life-like effect. |
